It depends what the joke is. Comedy comes from a good or a bad place. (…) When you see my stand-up, on the face of it I’m looking at taboo subjects. But they’re to get me into a position. They’re to get the audience to a place they haven’t been before. I think a comedian’s job isn’t just to make people laugh. I think, it’s to make people think.”

(…) Es gibt nichts, worüber man keine Witze machen darf. Es kommt darauf an, was es für ein Witz ist. Comedy kommt aus einer guten oder einer schlechten Ecke. Meine kommt aus einer guten Ecke. Oberflächlich gesehen betrachte ich in meinen Stand-Ups Tabu-Themen. Aber die sind nur dafür da, um mich in eine bestimmte Position zu bringen. Sie sind dafür da, um das Publikum dorthin zu bringen, wo es noch nie war. Ich glaube, die Aufgabe eines Komikers besteht nicht nur darin, die Leute zum Lachen zu bringen, sondern sie zum Denken zu bringen.”
